History

The Department of Mathematics started education in 1993 within the restructured Faculty of Science of Anadolu University, and currently continues education and training within the Faculty of Science of Eskişehir Technical University, which was established with the Law No. 7141 published in the Official Gazette dated May 18, 2018, and numbered 30425.

Within the Department of Mathematics, education, training, and research are carried out in areas such as analysis, algebra, geometry, topology, applied mathematics, and mathematics education, which cover the main areas of mathematics. In addition to science and engineering courses offered in various units of the university, department students have the opportunity to take social courses such as business administration and economics as elective courses. In this way, our students have the opportunity to expand their general culture as well as their field knowledge. In addition, successful students have the opportunity to pursue a second major and/or minor. The Department of Mathematics has an active, competent, and productive academic staff of 36 consisting of 17 Professors, 5 Associate Professor Doctors, 4 Assistant Professor Doctors, 1 Lecturer, 5 Research Assistant Doctors, and 4 Research Assistants.
